Introducing Vid0, creator intelligence with the evidence attached
Why we built Vid0, what it does today, and how it's different from the YouTube tools you've already tried.
3 min read
Most YouTube tools give you a number and ask you to trust it. A keyword "score", a "viral" badge, a grade for your title. When you ask why, there's nothing behind it.
Vid0 starts from the opposite end. Every suggestion comes with the videos, channels and numbers it was built from, so you can check it yourself and decide.
Who is Vid0 for?
Channels that aren't huge yet. Big-channel advice ("post what's trending", "target high-volume keywords") rarely works when you have a few thousand subscribers. Vid0 is built around what a smaller channel can actually win: outliers from channels your size, keywords where channels like yours already rank, and a path to your first sponsorship.
What Vid0 does today
- Outliers. Find the videos that did far better than their channel usually does, in your niche or across any channels you track. That's where the ideas worth stealing are. Here's how to find them.
- Keywords. See how crowded a topic is and whether a channel your size can realistically win it. Here's how keyword research works for small channels.
- Ideas and titles. Turn an outlier into an idea for your channel, then score and rewrite the title before you film. The score follows our six-point title checklist.
- Your own stats. Connect your channel (read-only) to see how each upload performs against your own baseline, not someone else's, and your best time to post worked out from your own uploads.
- A free creator page. A public page for brand deals, with your stats, rates and past collabs, drafted from your channel. Start yours on the Vid0 creators page, or read what goes in a YouTube media kit.

There's also the free Vid0 Chrome extension, which puts the same numbers on YouTube itself: on watch pages, search results and inside YouTube Studio.
What we won't do
Vid0 only reads your channel. It never uploads, edits or deletes anything on YouTube. When a number is our estimate rather than YouTube's data, it's marked as one.
What's next
This blog is where we'll share what we learn from the data: how outliers behave, what makes packaging work, and how creators land better brand deals. We'll also post product updates here first. A good place to start is how to grow your YouTube channel, our playbook for small and mid-size channels.
If you want them in your feed reader, the blog has an RSS feed. Otherwise, try Vid0 and tell us what you'd like to see next.
FAQ
What is Vid0?
A YouTube research tool and Chrome extension for small and mid-size creators. It finds outlier videos, scores keywords by whether they're winnable at your size, scores titles and thumbnails, and builds a free creator page for brand deals.
Is Vid0 free?
Yes, there's a free plan. Paid plans raise the limits on AI actions, keyword lookups and tracked channels, and can remove the Vid0 branding from your public page.
Does Vid0 change anything on my YouTube channel?
No. Vid0 uses read-only access. It never uploads, edits or deletes anything on YouTube. When you want to use a suggested title or description, you copy it into YouTube Studio yourself.
How is Vid0 different from vidIQ or TubeBuddy?
Vid0 focuses on smaller channels: outliers scored against each channel's own usual views at the same age, keywords scored by whether channels your size win them, and sponsorship tools built in. vidIQ and TubeBuddy are broader and more established, with more features overall.
Who makes Vid0?
Vid0 is built by Arindam Majumder, co-founder of Studio1.
