YouTube tag extractor

Paste any public YouTube video to see the hidden tags its creator added, with YouTube's 500-character count, and copy them in one click.

How it works

Tags aren't shown on youtube.com, but they're part of a video's public data. Vid0 reads them from the official YouTube Data API: nothing is scraped.

Use them to see which keywords a successful video was aiming for, then write your own. Copying another creator's tags word for word rarely helps; titles, thumbnails and descriptions do most of the work.

Questions

Do YouTube tags still matter?
A little. YouTube says tags mostly help with misspellings and alternate names of your topic. Titles, thumbnails and descriptions matter far more, but tags are a quick look at the keywords a creator was targeting.
How do I see the tags on a YouTube video?
Paste the video's link above. Tags aren't shown on youtube.com, but they're part of the video's public data. The free Vid0 Chrome extension also shows them on every video you watch. Get the extension.
How many tags can a video have?
Up to 500 characters in total. Commas count, and a tag with a space counts its quotes too, so "claude code" uses 13 characters.
